Amiri Medical Complex (AMC) is a private hospital incorporated under the government of Afghanistan with license number D-26055 in 2015. It operates in accordance with and is subject to the laws of Afghanistan. The facility is located in the Afghan Red Crescent Society, Afshar, Qargha Road, in a green and calm environment. Job Description:

The Role

The MRI Technician will be responsible for operating 1.5 Tesla MRI machine to produce high-quality diagnostic images. He/She will prepare and educate patients and their attendants by explaining the prescribed MRI procedures, ensuring comfort, and positioning patients appropriately. The responsible will closely coordinate with Radiologists to interpret scans, adhere to safety protocols to minimize risks associated with magnetic fields and manage equipment maintenance as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and educate patients and their attendants by explaining the prescribed MRI procedures, address their concerns and ensuring comfort, and positioning patients appropriately for accurate imaging.
  • Review patient medical history and ensure they meet safety requirements for MRI scanning.
  • Able to operate 1.5 Tesla MRI machine to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Provide clear and accurate MRI images to radiologists for interpretation and reports.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols to minimize risks associated with magnetic fields and MRI procedures.
  • Manage and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring strict confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies safety regulations.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritizing urgent matters while maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.
  • Coordinate with other hospital departments and staff members to address patient needs and ensure efficient communication and workflow throughout the hospital.
  • Escalate any alarming complaint/issue to the immediate supervisor.
  • Undertake any other duty assigned by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualification and Experience

  • Diploma/Associate’s degree or preferably bachelor degree in Radiologic Technology, preferred or related field from an accredited institute/university, attested by relevant institutions of Afghanistan.
  • Certification in MRI from an accredited institution.
  • At least three years of experience in MRI imaging in a high-volume imaging setting or hospital.
  • Familiarity with handling advanced MRI equipment and conducting specialized procedures.
